Domain Names The first step for most websites is to choose a unique domain name (or internet address), which should be memorable and not overly complicated if possible. As a rule of thumb, we use .co.uk extensions in the UK to denote private companies, or .org.uk to denote non-profit or charitable organisations. This is not a hard and fast ruling though, and you may prefer to use the more global .com or .org extensions, or indeed .net, .info, .biz, .me.uk, .eu or any of the plethora of other extensions that keep appearing. This is certainly something that I can advise you on, and help you to make an informed decision. I can register the domain name for you, or point you in the right direction to do it yourself, either way it will cost you the same. A breakdown of the costs for the various different domain name extensions is provided on the Prices page |
